Policy Statement

A salary supplement from other UO funds is typically allowable only for services rendered at the request or convenience of the institution.

Salary Supplements during sabbatical are generally allowable if paid from outside sources (like state and federal grants, awards from private foundations, salary for consulting or teaching at other institutions).

All sabbatical travel (transportation, meals, lodging and miscellaneous) should go through the unit’s established research travel expense approval process.
