Enactment & Revisions
CAS faculty who assume the headship of a department (or directorship of a program with a minimum of three FTE tenure-related faculty appointments) in CAS are eligible upon commencing their first such three-year appointment for a 3% increase in annual rate and will be eligible for a 2% increase upon commencing their second term.
Appointments for one- or two-year periods may be eligible for salary increases on a prorated basis, but appointments for less than a year are not.
If the head/director does not finish the term, the salary increase associated with the position will be reduced on a prorated basis unless the Dean chooses to waive this reduction (because the head/director accepts another administrative position within the College, for instance).
