Dean's Office Oversight and Approvals

Please work with the CAS Assistant Dean for Administration and Operations (Miriam Bolton) for classified employee HR matters. The Dean's Office should be involved in, and must approve, classified employee personnel actions in the areas of:

  • Funding replacement and new positions
  • Hiring decisions
  • Trial service
  • Changing from part-time to full-time
  • Reclassification
  • Merit increases
  • Letters of clarification
  • Progressive discipline and discharge
  • Layoff
  • Coverage during times of extended absence by a classified employee, or an unfilled position.
