Career NTTF must undergo a performance review once during each contract period, or every three years, whichever is soonest. Reviews must consider performance since the previous review. Upon successful review, the contract may be renewed. Use the NTTF (Pro Tem and Career) Evaluation template under Documents to write the review. The supervisor and the faculty member must sign the review. Refer to the Office of the Provost site and the United Academics collective bargaining agreement for any other materials required. Use the Faculty Review Dropbox on the Business-Managers shared drive to submit the reviews to the Dean's Office by the stated deadline, usually in early March.
The unit must also submit the specific information (FTE, salary, dates) for the contract renewal itself. In recent years this has been accomplished via a renewal RTO.
Promotion in Rank
There is a promotion process for career instructors, lecturers, and researchers (for example, faculty in the Instructor classification may be promoted from Instructor to Senior Instructor or Senior Instructor to Senior Instructor II).
